About

The Thoughts of War (ToW) website aims to be a valuable resource to promote the teachings of nonviolent resistance.

Since Jesus first sent His disciples to surrounding villages, many Christians have lived the truths of nonviolent resistance. They may or may not have believed in the traditional beliefs of the just war theory or pacifism, but were faithful to the core values of nonviolent resistance. According to the parable of the two sons, it is obedience not words that determine the faithful.Matthew 21:28-31 For example, when the missionaries Nate Saint, Jim Elliot, Ed McCully, Pete Fleming, and Roger Youderian decided not to fire their guns even if attacked, they were obeying the principles of nonviolent resistance. Because of their decision, many in the Waodani tribe and thousands of other people have come to accept the teachings of Jesus. ToW hopes to highlight how the Kingdom of God has been expanded by courageous women and men who have followed the principles of nonviolent resistance.
